Zilla Fatu’s Final Indie Appearance Set for 9/12 Gold Rush 2026 Event for Reality Of Wrestling

As noted before, former indies talent Zilla Fatu made his official debut for WWE’s NXT brand earlier this month.

Reality of Wrestling recently announced that Fatu will be making an appearance for the company at tonight’s Gold Rush 2026 event in Texas City, Texas.

It was announced that this will be Fatu’s final appearance in the indies before he goes full-time with his wrestling career in WWE.

2 Cold Scorpio’s Arrest Over Stabbing Incident in 2024 Update – Prosecutors Seeking To Revoke 2 Cold Scorpio’s Bond & Have Him Jailed

As noted before, former WWE, WCW, and ECW wrestler 2 Cold Scorpio, real name Charles Scaggs, was arrested in June of 2024 over a stabbing incident that same month in Kansas City, Missouri. This incident revolved around a confrontation that turned physical at a store between Scaggs and the victim while Scaggs was working as a security guard over Scaggs telling the person about him smoking inside. Scaggs pleaded guilty to the charges against him this past August.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that prosecutors filed a motion on September 9th seeking to revoke band for Scaggs and have him jailed based on recent court records.

Johnson reported that a court hearing for the motion has been scheduled to take place on September 17.

Johnson also reported that the reason why the prosecutors are now seeking to have him incarcerated despite him pleading guilty as part of a plea deal this past August is currently not known.

Scaggs is currently scheduled to be sentenced for the charges against him on October 9.

Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

As noted before, former All Japan Pro Wrestling and TNA wrestler Joe Doering passed away this past June following a third battle with brain cancer. Former TNA President and current Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling owner Scott D’Amore recently announced on Twitter that a celebration of life service for Doering will be taking place on September 10 at the Walkerville Brewery in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. D’Amore stated that anyone who wants to attend to contact him by direct message on social media.

All Japan Pro Wrestling announced that Go Shiozaki recently suffered a hip injury during his First Round match against Ren Ayabe in this year’s Royal Road tournament and has been pulled from his non-tournament matches at their September 12th and 13th shows. It was also announced that Shiozaki is currently expected to make his return from injury at their September 16th show.

As noted before, Masha Slamovich was accused of committing domestic abuse against her by her former partner and current indies wrestler AKIRA in September of 2025. Slamovich departed from TNA in December of 2025 due to her contract had expired following an internal investigation by TNA into the allegations. Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Major League Wrestling officials have held recent talks regarding potentially bringing in Slamovich to their company.

WrestleCade recently announced that Andre Chance, former Andre Chase in WWE, will be making an appearance for the company at their WrestleCade Weekend 2026 event on November 27-29 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

CMLL reportedly drew an attendance of 13,200 for their Sept. 4th Viernes Espectacular at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Stardom reportedly drew a paid attendance of 1,327 for their Sept. 6th event in Tokyo, Japan, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

NJPW reportedly drew a paid attendance of 903 for their Sept. 5th Road To Destruction 2026 event in Utsunomiya, 1,258 for their Sept. 6th Yuji Nagata’s Blue Justice XIX event in Togane, 1,102 for their Sept. 9th Road To Destruction 2026 event in Tokyo, and 1,218 for their Sept. 10th Road To Destruction 2026 event in Tokyo, Japan, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Indies talent Brooke Havok announced on Instagram that she recently suffered a torn ACL and meniscus and is currently scheduled to undergo surgery. Havok stated “I’m absolutely gutted and heartbroken to be doing this but last Friday in Philly I suffered a knee injury, I got my MRI results back stating that l’ve torn my ACL and my meniscus along with some smaller issues going on in my knee and I will be needing surgery. There’s never a good time for something like this to happen and I know this but this one is a very hard pill to swallow. The setbacks l’ve had in wrestling always remind me to be grateful for what I have and that no part of this is a solo act. The support since I started has been strong and never dimmed, and for that l’m forever grateful. These things are tough, and it’s easy to think about what could’ve been and feel bitter and angry and sad but when I think of the experiences l’ve had, the community and support system I have and the people l’ve gotten to meet along the way I still feel lucky in wrestling. I don’t know what’s next for me but I can’t change the fact that I need surgery. Thank you for all of the love and constant support, AND REMEMBER be kind to people, follow your dreams, AND STAY FREAKING EMO.”
