John Cena Provides Update on WWE’s John Cena Classic Tournament Plans
As noted before, this past May’s WWE Backlash 2026 event featured John Cena officially announcing a new event called The John Cena Classic and a new fan voted championship called the Cena Classic Championship. Cena had stated in an interview with Adam’s Apple this past May that his John Cena Classic tournament concept is still a “work in progress.” WWE is currently considering a potential December 12th date for this upcoming event.
A recent Fan Expo Canada event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada featured a panel with John Cena as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Cena providing an update on the status of WWE’s plans for the upcoming John Cena Classic tournament.
“I can’t say nothing right now. Normally, I want say, ‘We’re figuring out all the details.’ I’ll say this, we have all the details. You just have to hang in there with me because they want me to keep it a secret until it’s time to say it. We have a lot of information we’re going to dump on you, it just ain’t going to be today.”

Brie Bella Comments on Her Gut Health Issues & Says Doctors Think She Might Have An Autoimmune Disease
As noted before, WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella has been out of action since WWE’s SummerSlam 2026 Night 1 event earlier this month due to a broken scapula injury.
A recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer and co-host Brie giving her thoughts about her current gut health situation.
“On this show, I’ve been very open with my gut health journey. It’s crazy because I’ll make jokes here and there like shitting my pants in an ambulance and all of the different things, but when it comes down to it, its how serious the condition of my gut.”
Brie also gave her thoughts about how her doctors are concerned about her gut health despite her being healthy otherwise.
“When Paige reached out to me after she talked to you, what was so crazy is that I had just gotten back my tests and my gut declined. They’re like, ‘Your thyroid looks amazing, your liver looks incredible.’ Even when we’re looking at all of your levels, this is a healthy woman but for some reason, your gut was at a seven and now it’s at a ten, so we have to go see a specialist. I have to see a specialist next week and I’m like, what is going on with my gut?”
Brie also gave her thoughts about how her doctors have brought up the possibility of her having an autoimmune disease that hits the gut for the cause of her recent gut health issues.
“The only thing that they brought up to me is that I might have an autoimmune disease that hits the gut.”
