Wade Barrett Stripped Of The WWE IC Title – Details

It was announced on RAW that because he is “out of action for several months” with a separated shoulder injury suffered last week at the WWE SmackDown TV tapings, Bad News Barrett has been stripped of the WWE Intercontinental Title. On RAW, they revealed that Barrett was going to need “serious surgery” and would be out several months.

A battle royal will be held to determine the new champion at Battleground. The first four confirmed participants are Kofi Kingston, Cesaro, Damien Sandow and the Great Khali.

WWE Battleground takes place on Sunday, July 20th.
