WWE has reportedly been lying to fans in Mexico City about Sin Cara. Hunico, who currently plays the character, was part of a media interview in Mexico City. According to reports, WWE said their Sin Cara was the original Sin Cara.

However, the original Sin Cara was the former Mistico (real name Luis Ignacio Urive Alvirde), who last wrestled for WWE on October 19, 2013.
