WWE SmackDown took a hit on a Thursday night when all eyes were on the network battle between The Blacklist and Scandal. Thursday night’s episode drew 2.44 million viewers and a 0.76 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic. Those numbers were down 17% and 11% respectively from last week’s 2.95 million and 0.85 demo rating.
The drop can likely be attributed to the competition from The Blacklist, which premiered on its new night and largely competes for the same male demographic. It was still the top-rated original cable show of the night, beating out the NBA game on TNT for the #1 spot.
The final rating number will be out shortly.
