In an interview with the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, TNA announcer Josh Mathews spoke about his problems with breaking old WWE habits now that he’s in TNA. He has a hard time saying “belt” and “wrestling”, which weren’t allowed in WWE.
When asked about Vince McMahon claiming it’s “Sports Entertainment” on the Steve Austin podcast, Mathews said: “I just look at it as someone who doesn’t get it anymore, and who has lost so much touch with what his product is. [He] didn’t like anything else that was going on so he literally created his own universe. I mean, that’s what they called it the ‘Universe,’ because he created it and he lives in that bubble.”
