According to sources, an incident that occurred leading into NXT Takeover: R Evolution between Kevin Owens, Triple H and Bill DeMott caused some jealousy toward Owens backstage. DeMott was the agent for Owens’ match against CJ Parker and Owens went over his head in regard to a conflict around how the match was booked.
According to the report, DeMott didn’t like the idea of Owens, the big guy, doing a flip dive or that there were so many moves in the opening match. Owens complained to Triple H and “The Game” told DeMott to let Owens do what he likes. This caused some hard feelings among other talent, as the impression is that Triple H’s “pet talents” are allowed to do whatever they like while the rest are micro-managed and not allowed to work the indie style matches that get over with the NXT crowd.
