— While the recent Mickie James and Shelton Benjamin releases were surprising to fans, some insiders were caught more off guard by the release of Slam Master J. The son of Terry Gordy (his real name is Terry Ray Gordy, Jr.), Slam Master J had heavy backstage support from Michael Hayes, who apparently views the wrestler as a son. Some believe the Michael Hayes backing was the only reason he even had a job in WWE, and there was thus surprise that Hayes’ protection ultimately proved unable to keep the wrestler safe from a “future endeavors” announcement.
— Cody Rhodes will be appearing at North-Gate Ford in Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday, May 22nd from 4-6pm.
— WWE’s Unified Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty will be appearing at the WWE developmental show at 6:30pm on Wednesday, June 16th in Deland, Florida at the Volusia County Fairgrounds.
