More Backstage News On The Future Of Daniel Bryan

As you know, Daniel Bryan relinquished the WWE Intercontinental Title at RAW this week due the MRI from his latest injury revealing that he would not be able to return to the ring anytime soon. As you’d expect, WWE is extremely frustrated with the situation because while officials want what’s best for Bryan’s health, they also want him active on TV because they have a new DVD, his book and other items coming out which need to be promoted.

Combined with concern that Bryan’s style is making him injury-prone, the forced time off has WWE considering putting him in a non-wrestling role. This would allow him to stay on TV and keep merchandise moving.

The talk backstage is that ever since RAW, Bryan is trying to find ways to get cleared to return. There’s no word if the surgery that he was previously reluctant to get is an option anymore or if he would be willing to do it.

Many people in the company feel bad for Bryan, considering the personal and professional problems he’s had over the last year.
