Backstage Visitor At NXT, More On Samoa Joe’s NXT Debut

— Hafthor Bjomsson, the Icelandic strongman who most recently played Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane on Game of Thrones, attending NXT Takeover. The camera focused on Bjomsson at one point where he was sitting next to Stephanie McMahon.

— Although he wasn’t listed as one of the names in attendance backstage earlier this evening, Samoa Joe officially made his WWE debut during tonight’s NXT Takeover: Unstoppable live WWE Network special.

Joe came out during the main event between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Owens was attacking Zayn and was refusing to stop until Joe came out and repeatedly got in his face until he finally walked away.

It’s worth noting that Triple H was outright asked about the possibility of Joe signing with WWE, and while he put him over as a tremendous performer, he said that he wasn’t sure if they would do business together or not.

We should have more on Samoa Joe’s WWE status later this evening or early Thursday morning.
