According to sources, there is speculation that WWE officials might force to Rusev to wrestle in traditional wrestling boots when he returns from his current injury. Rusev is still on the shelf after suffering a lower leg injury after taking a bump over the top rope in his match against Ryback on the May 26th edition of SmackDown.
In the past, Rusev has always wrestled bare foot, and the hope is that by wearing boots he can prevent similar injuries from happening in the future.
