— As noted yesterday here on the website, it appears that for whatever reason, Vince McMahon and the WWE have decided to pull the use of the term “backbreaker”.
It’s possible that Vince may have had another decree for the commentary team not to use the term – though Michael Cole did use it during Monday night’s main event on RAW.
We’re not sure why Vince or WWE have decided to remove the term but McMahon has requested the term be kept off television previously.

This year, as thousands of pop culture fanatics swarm San Diego for Comic-Con International, WWE and Mattel will join forces to bring you exciting action figure reveals and updates from the show floor.
The action begins Thursday at 1 p.m. PT with Mattel and WWE’s star-studded panel, featuring WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, William Regal and Charlotte. We’ll be covering the entire panel LIVE via Periscope.
SDCC attendees will also have the chance to meet Rollins, Owens, Zayn and WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter at special signing events at the Mattel booth.
