The crew of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge reality show have gone on strike, bringing production to a halt. Deadline reports that the crew of the CMT show walked off the job this morning, demanding an IATSE (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) contract. That would include health benefits and pensions, as befitting a union contract.
The Editor’s Guild, which is supporting the strike, issued a statement which reads, “All members, prospective members, and other postproduction professionals are instructed to refrain from rendering service to this production for the duration of the work stoppage.”
The Editor’s Guild and IATSE are putting up a picket line outside the offices of 51 Minds Entertainment, which produces the show.
