WWE announced their second quarter financials today, and the company announced that revenue contributed $3.5 million in revenue with approximately 264,000 buys as three events were produced in the quarter. Every PPV saw a drop in buys as the WWE Network grows it’s average paid subscriber base, which was completely expected.
Total PPV buys were down from 1,059,000 to 264,000. Q2 of 2014 did have WrestleMania factored in, but even removing that event, Q2 of 2014 outperformed Q2 of 2015 369,000 buys to 264,000 buys.
