According to sources, Vince McMahon is said to be “freaking out” over the recent drop in ratings for RAW and SmackDown. Both shows have suffered significant drops lately with RAW hitting the lowest viewership numbers in years, while SmackDown has been hovering just above (and once below) the two-million mark for non-holiday shows the first time.
It is worth noting, however, that McMahon’s reaction tends to be the same at the start of each fall as football and the new TV season returns. However, the ratings have been on a general slide, with this September’s numbers down around half a million from the same time last year. This is usually when WWE does something big to try and shake things up.
As noted earlier, WWE.com has announced that the Brock Lesnar’s Go to Hell Tour stop in Dallas will have some special appearances.
WWE.com reports that Lesnar and his HIAC opponent the Undertaker will be there live, and will also be joined by Shawn Michaels, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Ric Flair.
