Connor’s Cure has passed 60,000 followers on Twitter and in a bigger story, has almost raised $900,000. The charity was founded in April 2014 by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to honor Connor Mason Michalek. The young boy passed away at the age of eight after fighting medulloblastoma, a form of cancer that attacks the cerebellum (the lower rear part of the brain).
Michalek got the attention of WWE after a local campaign detailed his story. He became friends with Justin Roberts then got to know several WWE stars. He was the first recipient of the Warrior Award at the 2015 Hall of Fame, inducted by his favorite WWE star Daniel Bryan. WWE has promoted the charity at their live events and on TV, urging fans to donate via text and buy special bracelets, which you can get here. You can find more information on Connor’s Cure here.
