— NJPW star Shinsuke Nakamura worked his last New Japan show yesterday at the Korakuen Hall, as he is now bound for NXT. In his final bout, he teamed up with Kazuchika Okada and Tomohiro Ishii and beat Hiroshi Tanahashi, Katsuyori Shibata Hirooki Goto. The match was reportedly incredibly emotional as the CHAOS stable said goodbye to their leader.
— During the show, it was announced that Hiroshi Tanahashi will face Kenny Omega for the now vacant IWGP Intercontinental title at The New Beginning. Nakamura was forced to vacate the belt since he didn’t lose the title before leaving for WWE.
— NJPW also announced the Ring of Honor stars who will be performing at the Honor Rising shows in February on February 19-20. The shows will be held at Korakuen Hall. Set for the show are Jay Lethal, Roderick Strong, The Briscoes, Moose, Adam Cole, ReDRagon, Michael Elgin, Dalton Castle, and Delirious.
