Brian Cage: ‘I Choked Out Ryback During A Shoot Session’, & More

Brian Cage recently did an AMA on Reddit. A couple of highlights are below:

On his dream: “The dream is to get to New Japan. Ultimate dream match was with AJ Styles, but that won’t happen now. Outside of that I’ve pretty much accomplished what I’ve wanted to accomplish. Of course I want to win the Lucha Underground title.”

On working with Paul Bearer: “Phenomenal guy. Just such a great dude. Really positive. He’s a legend in the business and the very first promo he cut on us to put us over was awesome. I was happy that I got to know and work with him before he passed. It was an honor.”

On people comparing him to Ryback: “Everybody says he’s the B version of me, or what the WWE wishes they (had) with me. But I don’t think that, I think he’s actually an underrated wrestler. I trained with Reeves. Back then I was the mini-machine and we had a shoot session and I was 20 pounds lighter than I am now and I choked him out. So, maybe I am better than him, but I don’t dislike him. I do appreciate too that he tries to steal my moves.”
