Avid MediaCentral Platform announced today that they’ve signed a new deal with WWE to provide a “resilient back up system” for WWE’s content. The new workflow system will allow WWE to include an integrated backup production system in their production work.
“We can now edit and distribute all of our content seamlessly within the Avid environment,” said WWE TV operations SVP Mike Grossman. “With a centralized system, we can manage multiple production groups and repurpose content much more easily. Avid’s integration with third-party applications means that the system can grow with us in the future, and the new back-up system mitigates the risk of disasters affecting our production and revenue.”
Avid SVP of sales and marketing Jeff Rosica added, “WWE is a shining example of how media organizations can build open, integrated workflows with the MediaCentral Platform to help them quickly and efficiently create, manage and deliver huge volumes of content, and get the maximum value out of their content. And with the disaster recovery system designed by Avid Professional Services, WWE and its investors can be confident that its production and revenues are protected.”
