The website Streaming Observer is reporting that WWE Network will soon offer offline viewing and downloadable content, similar to what Netflix recently started doing on mobile devices.
Speaking at the Variety Entertainment Summit at CES in an interview with Todd Spangler, WWE Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer Michelle Wilson said offline viewing and downloadable content are “definitely on the roadmap” for WWE Network.
The feature is expected to be released “sometime this year.”
The article also noted that WWE Network is the fifth largest streaming service in the world, with 1.5 million subscribers as of July 2016.
