At Thursday’s Impact Wrestling tapings, Alberto El Patron made his debut and won the World Heavyweight Championship from Lashley.
Alberto defeated Bobby Lashley to possibly become the NEW Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion, though there was an ambiguous finish with ref bumps and officials coming out to discuss the result of the match. However, before any decision was made, Alberto walked off with the title, so looks like there will be some controversy for the next show, which will be taped tomorrow.
It was then announced at the start of Friday’s tapings that Alberto El Patron had vacated the World title because he did not want to win the title the way he did. Later in the night, it was announced that the vacated title had been returned to Lashley.
Later, Alberto was challenged by EC3 to a match and the winner would face Lashley for the title. Alberto then defeated EC3 so he will be facing Lashley at an upcoming show (possibly at tomorrow night’s tapings).
Alberto El Patron comes out says he beat the man who couldn’t be beaten. He says this is his house and he’s not champion because of politics. He says he’s a fighter and wants Lashley. EC3 comes out and says Alberto needs to earn his shot. EC3 challenges Alberto, winner faces Lashley. Alberto turns him down. EC3 says he has no balls. Alberto calls him a bitch. They brawl until Alberto agrees to fight.
