A US District judge has recently ruled in favor of production company Audience of One in their lawsuit against Impact Wrestling in regards to claims Impact Wrestling conspired with the Harris Brothers in order to have their contract dropped.
Audience of One claimed after signing a long term deal with Impact Wrestling to become their main production company, the Harris Brothers and officials from Impact started to have talks in order to have Aroluxe Marketing replace them as the sole production company instead.
Main reasons were alleged to be due to lower costs and the Harris Brothers being upset at Audience of One criticizing their production service quality for Impact Wrestling. At the time, Impact had two production companies working for them with Audience of One being the lead company.
During the trial, Impact Wrestling ended up admitting they did breach the contract with Audience of One and purposely withheld payments owed in order for the contract to be terminated. This would have allowed the secret deal they had with the Harris Brothers to become possible.
As part of the ruling, Impact Wrestling was ordered to pay $336,602 owed to Audience of One which included interest and court fees as part of the settlement. The judge also closed the lawsuit “under prejudice” which means Audience of One can only file a new lawsuit if Impact Wrestling fails to pay the full amount required.
