During Monday’s RAW, WWE announced on Twitter this week’s Smackdown will include a rematch of Chris Jericho versus Kevin Owens for the United States Championship. This will be Jericho’s first title defense and appearance for the Smackdown brand after getting traded from RAW as part of the stipulation from Payback.

While Jericho’s reign is expected to be short due to touring very soon with Fozzy, AJ Styles will be facing the winner of this match at Backlash on May 21st which is a Smackdown exclusive event.
Other matches announced for Backlash’s card are Randy Orton versus Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship and Breezango facing The Usos for Smackdown’s Tag Team Championship.
