David Otunga is being listed as a Kickoff Show panelist for WWE Extreme Rules on June 4, alongside Renee Young and Pete Rosenberg, according to PWInsider.
WWE originally announced that Otunga would miss six weeks of Raw because he was shooting a movie called “Katrina,” and he has now missed six Raws, so technically, he should be back this Monday.
However, it seems interesting that he’s being listed as part of the Kickoff Show panel, since either Booker T or Jerry Lawler are usually in that role and not the person who is doing commentary. Otunga has definitely not been the most popular WWE commentator and Booker T, with all his “quirks,” has arguably been much better in the role since Otunga’s absence, especially since Booker T has been a bit more subdued than he previously has been. It’ll be interesting to see if Otunga is back on Raw as originally scheduled this Monday…
