On this day at the King of the Ring 1996, Steve Austin won the King of the Ring and cut one of the most famous promos of all time giving birth to Austin 3:16. Stone Cold Steve Austin would go on to be the WWF superstar who would bring in the highest ratings and the most revenue for the company and it all started with this single promo.
