Sports Illustrated is reporting that Talking Smack was canceled by Vince McMahon.
SI says that their sources say that McMahon was “unhappy with the show and strongly believed it did not serve the company’s best interests.”
McMahon reportedly didn’t like the unscripted and unpredictable nature of the show and that is what ultimately seems to have lead to its demise.
One other interesting note is that Sports Illustrated claims that though there are apparently still plans to air Talking Smack after SmackDown PPVs, McMahon plans to ultimately “eradicate” the show completely.
They also reported that it has become increasingly rare for Vince to personally show up at WWE TV shows, but he was there last week, which is apparently when the decision was made. However, though he isn’t at the shows, he is kept informed about everything from Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, Kevin Dunn, and the Road Dogg Brian James, and ultimately, all major decisions still go through him.
