John Morrison
In a Global Force Wrestling media conference call today, Jeremy Borash announced that John Hennigan (formerly John Morrison and Johnny Mundo) will be wrestling at GFW live shows on August 4, 5, and 6 in the NYC area.
Morrison is still technically signed with Lucha Underground, but that contract would expire at the end of season 3, which would be in September.
If his contract is similar to that of other wrestlers, he would also have a 90 day non-compete clause, but that could only be for televised events, since he has worked in Mexico and in the indies while under contract.
Rey Mysterio Jr.
As reported yesterday, GFW and WWE are both reportedly interested in signing Rey Mysterio Jr.
According to PWInsider, Rey Mysterio met with GFW officials on Monday and “has a contract offer in his hands.”
Mysterio is also signed with Lucha Underground, but his contract would expire in September and he would have a 90 day non-compete clause.
