There have been talks within GFW of bringing Jim Cornette back as an on-air character, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Cornette had an on-air “authority figure” role in TNA from 2006 to 2009, but was released because he claimed that he had creative differences with TNA’s creative team, namely Vince Russo.
Cornette has put himself in the news lately with his angry rants against what he calls “comedy wrestling,” rants against Kenny Omega, Mick Foley, and a feud with Vince Russo.
