Former three time Ring of Honor World Champion Adam Cole made his WWE/NXT debut tonight at TakeOver: Brooklyn III.
Cole attacked Drew McIntyre, who had just won the NXT Championship from Bobby Roode. Cole and his former ROH colleagues and fellow recent NXT signees Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly then beat down McIntyre at the end of the show as the crowd chanted Cole’s name. There were also a lot of relentless “Adam Cole Bay-bay” chants throughout the crowd as everyone left the Barclays Center after the show.
Cole looks like he’ll immediately be put into the world title scene at NXT, feuding with McIntyre, and will be part of a stable with Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly. Fish and O’Reilly are former ROH and IWGP (Junior) Tag Team Champions as “reDRagon.”
