Lucha Underground’s Future

Things look “bleak” for Lucha Underground, Dave Meltzer said in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The people who funded seasons 2 and 3 have not committed to a fourth season, and no one else has come to the table with an offer for funding.

There are only four episodes left in season 3, which was taped in May-June 2016.

If Lucha Underground does end, several of their wrestlers who were locked into exclusive contracts would finally be “on the market.”
