After Shane McMahon’s jump from the Hell in a Cell, WWE.com released a storyline article playing up that he was hospitalized with broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder. This was actually picked up by a few mainstream publications, which lead to WWE issuing an update today saying the injuries are “unconfirmed” and Shane is now “home resting and recuperating comfortably.”

“Some reports went on saying Shane suffered neck trauma, fractured ribs and a dislocated shoulder. However, we have learned that those reports have been unconfirmed. However, what we can confirm is that this past Sunday, Shane McMahon was released from a medical facility and is now home resting and recuperating comfortably.”
