A recent episode of the E&C’s Pod of Awesomeness show had Mae Young Classic competitor Jazzy Gabbert as the guest.
During the interview, Gabbert revealed her contract offer with the company was pulled by the WWE due to the results from her required medical tests. WWE originally sent a contract by mail to her after someone within the company requested a deal to be made following the end of the Mae Young Classic tournament.
While visiting a WWE doctor to do the medical tests needed to make the contract official, the doctor quickly realized something was wrong with her neck and required a MRI to be done. The results from this MRI revealed her neck had three herniated discs and some bones being “all over the place” which worried the WWE enough to pull the offer and consider her too much of a health risk to have working for the company.
“Of course they sent the results to the WWE doctor. And then the WWE doctor contacted me and they said to me, ‘We’re really sorry Jazz, but we cannot give you our clearance and you are disqualified and you cannot work for WWE.'”
Later in the interview, Gabbert mentioned she will be having surgery soon to fix her neck issues and while she was sad about this situation, she was also very appreciative towards her fans and all the opportunities she has gotten so far in her career.
