NXT Taping Schedule

NXT held tapings for three weeks of shows at Center Stage in Atlanta, GA on Thursday. That’ll take them up until NXT TakeOver: Philly on January 27.

The next set of tapings will be on February 1 and 2, also in Atlanta, and they’ll then return to Full Sail on March 7.

– February 1: Atlanta, GA – Center Stage
– February 2: Atlanta, GA – Center Stage
– March 7 – Orlando, FL – Full Sail

Jumanji Does Well

“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” starring The Rock, finished at #1 at the box office in the US this weekend, in its third week. It grossed $36.0M this weekend and $244.4M total, with Star Wars falling to #3 at $23.6M in its fourth week.

“Ferdinand” starring John Cena finished at #6 with $7.7M in its fourth week, with $70.5M total.

Sonjay Dutt Injured

Sonjay Dutt tweeted that he underwent surgery for a torn right achilles, which will likely keep him out of action for several months. He has taken more of a backstage role in Impact lately, though, working as a producer and booker.

Starting off my 18th year in pro wrestling the wrong way. My first surgery later today to fix my torn right achilles. Thank God I'm alive and will be fixed to 100%, albeit taking a while! Be safe everyone, even planting your foot can be dangerous!
