Alberto El Patron Doesn’t Show Up at Impact vs. Lucha Underground Show

Alberto El Patron missed the Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground show tonight in New Orleans.

He was scheduled to be part of the main event, originally scheduled to be Austin Aries & Fenix vs. Alberto El Patron & Pentagon Jr.

The match was changed to a triple threat (Austin Aries vs. Fenix vs. Pentagon Jr.), with no explanation given to the crowd.

The crowd then started chanting “Fuck Del Rio.” You can check that out in the video below at about the 2:25:52 mark.

According to PWInsider, “the word backstage among wrestlers” is that Alberto no-showed. However, another source told PWInsider that Alberto reached out to say that he had gotten sick.

Earlier in the day, Alberto was part of a press conference with Austin Aries. It turned into a scuffle that was supposed to build up to the scheduled Aries vs. Patron World Title match at the Impact Redemption PPV on April 22.
