Glenn “Kane” Jacobs has officially won the Republican primary for mayor of Knox County, TN after provisional ballots were counted today.
After election day on Tuesday night, Kane had just a 17 vote lead, with 43 provisional ballots remaining to be counted. After they were counted today, Kane actually picked up seven votes, while the runner-up, Brad Anders only picked up one additional vote.

He will now go on to face the Democratic candidate, Linda Haney in the general election on August 2. Knox County votes heavily Republican, so he is the favorite to win and become the next mayor.
