The “working plan” within WWE is for Brock Lesnar to face Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. However, the match is apparently still “not a done deal,” Dave Meltzer says, and Brock Lesnar is not yet confirmed for SummerSlam or any other future dates for that matter.
The feeling is that Lesnar’s contract expires some time shortly after SummerSlam (which is on August 19), so the expectation is that that’s when he’ll finally drop the title to Reigns before going back to the UFC. However, everyone thought he was definitely dropping the title at WrestleMania and then at Greatest Royal Rumble, so who knows.
Whatever the case, it seems like we won’t see Lesnar in WWE for at least another couple of months.
