WWE has announced a new brand and TV series, NXT UK.
WWE described it as “a new United Kingdom series featuring the greatest competitors from the United Kingdom and Ireland.”
They also announced that in addition to the U.K. Championship, there will be two new titles introduced: The U.K. Women’s Championship and U.K. Tag Team Championship.
WWE said that there will be eight live events taped for the new series, but did not specify when or on what platform or TV channel it will air.
The eight taped shows will take place on:
– Saturday, July 28, and Sunday, July 29, at the Corn Exchange, Cambridge
– Saturday, Aug. 25, and Sunday, Aug. 26, as part of Insomnia, the U.K.’s biggest gaming festival, at NEC Birmingham
– Saturday, Oct. 13, and Sunday, Oct. 14, at Plymouth Pavilions
– Saturday, Nov. 24, and Sunday, Nov. 25, at Liverpool Olympia
