Brock Lesnar has signed yet another short-term deal with WWE, which will keep him in WWE until at least WrestleMania, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The deal was likely signed around October 18, when WWE learned about Roman Reigns’ leukemia. The original plan was for Roman Reigns to win at Crown Jewel and for that to be Lesnar’s final match for now as he moved on to focus on the UFC.
There is a match planned for Lesnar at WrestleMania, the Observer says, and there is a “significant angle that is supposed to be part of his storyline going forward.”
Additionally, Lesnar’s deal “includes wrestlers other than Strowman,” with the Observer speculating that it could be Drew McIntyre or Seth Rollins. Lesnar will of course also face AJ Styles at Survivor Series next weekend.
The deal is for “multiple shows.” Lesnar is not expected to be at the TLC PPV. It’s possible that he may be at the Royal Rumble, but he will also possibly be in the middle of training for a UFC fight around that time, which could cause him to miss the Rumble.
UFC
Lesnar’s WWE deal allows him to fight for the UFC and the UFC wants him at UFC 235 on March 2, 2019 against Daniel Cormier. That fight is still not confirmed, but that’s what the UFC wants. If it happens, it could be a UFC Heavyweight Champion vs. WWE Universal Champion fight.
