Trent Barreta, Chuck Taylor, Sammy Guevara and Kylie Rae are all rumored to be heading to AEW soon, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
Barreta and Taylor are likely done with NJPW. Baretta was offered a contract and reportedly was expected to get a big push by New Japan, but he is choosing to not re-sign, Meltzer says. No word on if Taylor was also offered a deal. Trent and Chuckie T frequently team with each other as “The Best Friends” and have appeared on “Being the Elite” before. Chuck Taylor also wrestles for ROH and is a two time former PWG World Champion. Trent Barreta worked in WWE from 2007-2013 and has most recently been in NJPW and ROH.
Sammy Guevara is also likely headed to AEW. Major League Wrestling recently announced that they and Guevara are no longer working with each other and MLW’s expectation is that he is AEW-bound. The high-flying Guevara has been a regular in the indie scene recently and has wrestled in MLW, PWG, Lucha Libre AAA in Mexico, and Lucha Underground.
Indie wrestler Kylie Rae is also expected to sign. She’s a star in the Chicago indie scene and recently wrestled in Stardom in Japan.
