The LA Times is reporting that longtime WWE ally Bonnie Hammer is benefiting from the NBC Universal-Comcast merger.
Hammer, who currently overseas the USA and SyFy networks, has received a promotion. She will now be in charge of E! Entertainment Television and the G-4 network, along with still running USA and SyFy.
With Hammer gaining new power within the company, and her past efforts to create synergy with NBC Universal properties, which include WWE, WWE could find new potential cable outlets for their programming.
Hammer has been working with WWE since the late 1990s, and was instrumental in bringing WWE back to the USA Network, green lighting ECW and NXT, as well as bringing SmackDown! to SyFy.
