Kevin Smith said on Instagram that Chris Jericho will have a small role in the upcoming “Jay and Silent Bob Reboot” movie, which will be released some time this year.
Smith said:
“@chrisjerichofozzy joined #jayandsilentbobreboot last week in a scene stolen from some of the 80’s road movies I grew up watching! This was the first time @jaymewes shared screen time with #rawisjericho but it’s the second time I’ve worked with the #fozzy frontman (the first being on the forthcoming horror anthology #killroywashere). And both times, this super sweet Canadian kid has been cast waaaaay against type. If I ever get to make another movie after this one, I told Chris he’s gonna be a good guy (maybe we’ll finally do that Canadian James Bond comedy we talked about on the podcast that one time).”
Jericho also posted on Instagram:
“Well that’s a wrap! To say it’s an honor and a bucket list event to be a part of the hilarious new @jayandsilentbob flick #JayAndSilentBobReboot would be the underestimate of a lifetime! Thx to @thatkevinsmith & @jordanmonsanto for casting me in 2 AMAZING parts in 2 different movies in less than 7 months, (and dousing me in 2 separate disgusting substances in each) and for finally assembling the #Y2JayAndSilentBob lineup I’ve been dreaming about since I rented #Mallrats at #BlockbusterVideo 24 years ago! Jericho also has a role in another upcoming Kevin Smith-directed horror movie called “Killroy Was Here.”
