As noted before, WWE recently made several changes to their schedule due to plans for the next Saudi event to take place in early June. These changes resulted in several events originally planned for early June to be moved to new dates, such as WWE Backlash, or have their status be in doubt, such as NXT TakeOver: San Jose.
In an update to the status of NXT TakeOver: San Jose, the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that the event will no longer be taking place on June 8th nor in San Jose, California. It was reported that the official reason was due to WWE’s current plans for the next Saudi event to take place within the same time period.
Meltzer also reported that an official decision regarding the new date for the next TakeOver event will likely be made by this Wednesday since that is when the next set of NXT television tapings will be held at Full Sail University.
