At tonight’s NXT TV tapings at Full Sail, William Regal announced that there will be an “NXT Breakout Tournament” for wrestlers who haven’t appeared on TV yet, and the winner will receive a title shot of their choosing.
The first round of the tournament took place at tonight’s (Wednesday) tapings and the rest of the tournament will take place at tomorrow’s tapings.
This also would seem to explain why a bunch of NXT wrestlers suddenly received name changes in the past week or so.
