Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, and Kevin Dunn reportedly were all absent from this week’s Raw and SmackDown in California, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
It was reported that RAW lead writer Ed Koskey was mostly in charge of running this week’s episode of RAW in Vince’s absence.
Dave Meltzer reported that the reason for Vince’s absence was due to him needing to take care of some “corporate items” requiring him to be away from the tapings. Kevin Dunn reportedly has a well known habit of not working television tapings whenever Vince McMahon is not around. Stephanie has been mostly absent from WWE tapings these days and usually only appears if she is needed on television for the week.
In regards to Triple H, Meltzer reported that he was very busy working in NXT due to this week’s set of television tapings building up the entire card for the brand’s next TakeOver event this August in Toronto.
