Goldberg Reportedly Will Face Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam

Goldberg will be making another return to the ring to wrestle Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Though WWE announced on Tuesday that Ziggler will take on The Miz at SummerSlam, that match is apparently a “red herring,” the Observer says, and the plan has been for Goldberg to be Ziggler’s opponent all along. That means we’ll possibly see Goldberg on TV next week to set up the match, since it’ll be the last week of TV before SummerSlam.

Ziggler has taken shots at Goldberg during his promos for the last two weeks and that obviously was done to set up this match.

After having a bad outing against The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia in June due to suffering a concussion early in the match, Goldberg has talked multiple times about wanting to come back for redemption.
