Orton’s previous contract was signed in 2010 and was reportedly for 10 years in length, meaning that it was set to expire in 2020.
Last month, Orton teased signing with AEW on his Instagram account, which was likely to gain leverage over WWE during contract negotiations.
Orton, 39, has been with WWE for essentially his entire pro wrestling career, signing with the company in 2001 when he was 20 years old.
