New Season of Southpaw Regional Wrestling to Debut This Summer

WWE recently released a trailer for the third season of their Southpaw Regional Wrestling series, which will debut this summer.

Southpaw Regional Wrestling is a parody of 80s southern wrestling and debuted on YouTube in 2017.


Stephanie Mcmahon Comments on Coronavirus Impacting WrestleMania 36

Tampa Bay Times held a recent interview with Stephanie McMahon and others discussing the potential impact the on-going coronavirus outbreak could have on WWE’s WrestleMania 36 weekend plans in the city.

Stephanie McMahon – “The health and safety of not only our fan base, but also our superstars, really does come first. We don’t want to put anyone in a bad situation ever, regardless of the circumstance. Those are not risks worth taking.”

WWE Executive Vice President of Special Events, John Saboor – “Given the number of live events that (WWE) does, it’s constantly monitoring global events. There are active and ongoing discussions at play internally, like there are in any sector of American business, and certainly families as a whole. So I think those will continue.”

Tampa Bay Sports Commission Executive Director, Rob Higgins – “You’ve got to be nimble, and you’ve got to be ready. Thirty-six days is a long time, so it’s hard to predict. I think we just continue to information gather as much as possible, so that we are as prepared as possible.”

Stephanie McMahon – “And if necessary. enact those measures.”


WWE Files New Trademarks, Opposing Revival’s Trademark

As noted before, The Revival recently filed several new trademarks to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. One of those trademarks involved the term “No Flips, Just Fists.”

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that WWE recently filed two new trademarks to the USPTO that were based on The Revival and likely setting up an opposition claim against Dash Wilder’s trademark filings.

A trademark for “The Mechanics” was filed on February 24th for wrestling and entertainment-related purposes.

A trademark for “No Flips Just Fists” was filed on February 24th for merchandise-related purposes.
