Current NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin is in the UK and is unable to travel to the US because of the coronavirus situation, so William Regal announced today on WWE’s “The Bump” that a tournament will be held to crown an “interim” Cruiserweight Champion. That likely means that Devlin will get a title shot once he’s able to return to the US.
No details on the tournament were given, but Regal said that he would “update everyone once all the details are ironed out.”
As I just announced on @WWETheBump, we will soon begin a tournament to crown an interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion as the current champion, @Jordan_Devlin1 is unable to compete due to the situation in the world.
I will update everyone once all the details are ironed out.
