Seven more wrestlers under NXT and developmental contracts were confirmed to have been released as of Friday, according to PWInsider.
Among the talent released was Kassius Ohno from WWE’s NXT and NXT UK brands. Ohno’s profile was moved to the Alumni section of WWE’s website on Friday and he was later confirmed to have been released.
The other six wrestlers released were primarily from WWE’s Performance Center roster.
- Kassius Ohno – Had two stints in WWE’s developmental system from 2011-2013 and from December 2016 to this week.
- Mohamed Abdelfattah (known as Mohamed Fahim in NXT) – Egyptian-born talent who was signed in January 2018.
- Marcos Gomes – Brazilian MMA fighter who was signed in May 2019.
- Faisal Kurdi – Saudi Arabian MMA fighter who was signed in June 2019.
- Edgar Lopez – Mexican soccer player who was signed in September 2019.
- Hussain Aldagal – Saudi Arabian bodybuilder who was signed in June 2019.
- Yifeng (known as Rocky in NXT) – Chinese actor who was signed in September 2016.
As of this past Friday, fifty wrestlers, producers, and coaches are known to have been released or furloughed by WWE.
