WWE announced in February of this year that next year’s WrestleMania 37 event would be taking place at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The status of this event in Inglewood has been in doubt since this spring due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Inside The Ropes’ Gary Cassidy reported that WWE officials are currently working on tentative plans to move next year’s WrestleMania event from Inglewood to Tampa, Florida. These plans include the event being held at the Raymond James Stadium, which was the original planned location for WrestleMania 36 prior to it being moved to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando due to the coronavirus.
Cassidy reported that it is currently not known if the event will still take place on March 28, 2021 nor the exact reason for the potential location change but stated that WWE recently has “‘locked down’ most buildings in Tampa for potential events across WrestleMania Weekend.”
